Neighbors 4 Neighbors A History of Helping the Community
Neighbors 4 Neighbors is a nationally recognized nonprofit, created in the aftermath of Hurricane Andrew in 1992. The simple mission is to connect those in need with those who can help. Using a combination of resource development, collaboration with service providers and the power of media, we empower our neighbors to use the talents, time and money they have to help others. In 2018, Neighbors 4 Neighbors developed and delivered nearly $900,000 in resources and donated goods to our neighbors in need, and nonprofit partners.

On average donors spent over $600 per family, with 537 Families adopted, $342,000 was spent on families in need!
Additional families where served with $10,000 in gift cards to Walmart, Target, Publix and Winn Dixie!
40 Families were given Thanksgiving Gift Baskets from Sedanos, valued at $100 each for a total of $4000!
The Vernan Carey Foundation treated 6 special families to a shopping spree at Broward Westfield Mall, each getting $400 to spend while shopping with local celebrities for a total of $2400!
Morningday Community Solutions invited 5 families from Covenant House to a shopping day at their warehouse, each were given $200 to spend, a retail value of $800 each for a total of $4000!
Hoffman’s Chocolates treated 8 families from the Jessica June Children’s Cancer Foundation and the Kids Cancer Foundation to an afternoon at their Chocolate Factory. Each child was treated to gifts hand delivered buy Santa himself, sweet treats and ice skating for a total value of $2000!
Actors Playhouse held a toy drive at their annual Christmas Carol show, collecting over $1000 in toys, that were given to the families at our partners at Connect Familias.
Beauty Anatomy Institute treated over a dozen case workers of these amazing families to a special day at the salon , as thank you for all their hard work. A value of $3200!
